The Lantieri de Paratico, a noble and ancient Brescian family, have roots in Franciacorta that go back more than a thousand years, since the earliest certain date documenting it dates back to the year 930 AD.
Illustrious ancestors adorn his family tree, from a Blessed Lucia Lantieri to a scholar of military tactics and finally to the famous engineer and mathematician Giacomo Lantieri who spent a life so adventurous that it even inspired a book:

The noble suffix “de Paratico” signifies their earlier settlement in the town of the same name in the province of Brescia, bordering Lake Iseo in Franciacorta. Here, the Lantieri family had their magnificent castle erected in the 11th century.
The story goes that the exile and supreme poet Dante Alighieri, who was inspired by the landscape and is said to have written some verses of the Purgatory Canticle, was hosted in that castle.
Then in the 1500s the family moved to Capriolo, where the winemaking tradition has been perpetuated and the winery is based today.
The Lantieri family was distinguished for the production of wines as early as the 16th century; they were then valued suppliers to the court of the Gonzaga lords of Mantua, and to the courts of Ferrara and Milan, with the “Rubino di Corte Franca,” forerunner of today’s wines.

XI Secolo
I Lantieri, nobile famiglia bresciana, si insediano a Paratico, dove costruiscono il loro magnifico castello. La tradizione racconta che Dante Alighieri, esule e ospite del castello, si sia ispirato al paesaggio per comporre alcuni versi del Purgatorio.
XVI Secolo
Nel 1500, la famiglia si trasferisce a Capriolo, avviando una tradizione vitivinicola che prosegue ancora oggi. Già in questo secolo, i Lantieri si distinguono per la produzione di vini pregiati come il “Rubino di Corte Franca”, servito alle corti dei Gonzaga di Mantova, di Ferrara e di Milano.
Dal XVI Secolo ad Oggi
La tradizione vitivinicola della famiglia Lantieri si radica nella Franciacorta. I terreni silicio-argillosi, ricchi di breccia e materia calcarea, offrono un ambiente ideale per la coltivazione della vite, garantendo vini di straordinaria qualità.
XX Secolo
Tra gli antenati illustri della famiglia, emerge la figura di Giacomo Lantieri, ingegnere e matematico, protagonista di una vita tanto avventurosa da ispirare il libro Servitore vostro umilissimo et devotissimo (Bonanno Editore, 1994).
